The Program Loader Monitor (PLM) is the user interface to download programs to the DVC7 and DVC10 and to display information from all of the DVC modules connected together.  Data from a DVC expansion module (i.e. DVC21, DVC41, DVC61, etc.) is transmitted through the DVC10 to the PLM.

 

The PLM is also the tool to analyze, monitor and modify I/O parameters such as Ramps, Dither and other I/O settings during commissioning.  However these changes are only stored in RAM and need to be saved to a file, imported into the application, re-compiled via the Programming Tool (PT) and then downloaded into the DVC via the PLM to make the changes permanent.  An application can be created in such a way using EEMemory to allow these I/O settings to be permanent without using the PT.

 

All applications are created and/or modified using the PT, then downloaded into the DVC and fine tuned via the PLM.

 

The Program Loader Monitor is used to gather DVC5, DVC7 or DVC10 I/O information along with the names/labels assigned to them in the Programming Tool. The runtime graph is used to plot any two variables as fast as the computer can collect data from the DVC7 & DVC10.

When selected, the Program Loader button sends a signal in the serial cable that allows the DVC7 or DVC10 to go into programming mode on power up.

PC with Serial Port   RS232 or USB port.  For USB ports you need a USB to RS232 converter (i.e. Dongle)

Download & installation instructions:

1. Click to here to download the free PLM.

2. Save the zip file to a temporary file location on your computer.

3. Unzip ("Extract All") the files to your temporary location.

4. Run the SETUP.EXE file, and click Finish to complete the installation.

5. The Program Loader Monitor installs the files needed to run the Loader monitor by itself.
