The DVC7 Programmable Valve Controller is the latest addition to the DVC line of programmable controllers.

FEATURES

Valves: up to 8
High Side Outputs - 6
PWM Outputs - 2
Digital/ Pulse Inputs - 3
Analog Inputs - 2
Universal Inputs - 3
RS232 - Yes
Direct Connect J1939 - Yes
CANbus - Yes

CE Certification pending

Should more capability be needed than provided by the DVC7, then the DVC10 and the DVC expansion modules can be used (see the DVC System Architecture drawing for available DVC expansion modules).

 More Information

The DVC10 Controller is the main control module for all DVC series modules.  This user programmable controller has a large number of inputs and outputs allowing stand-alone operation or it can be the controller for a large CAN Bus system with up to 16 DVC expansion modules (see the DVC System Architecture drawing for available DVC expansion modules).

FEATURES

Valves: up to 9
High Side Outputs - 6
PWM Outputs - 3
Digital - 8
Analog Inputs - 3
Universal Inputs - 3
RS232 - Yes
Direct Connect J1939 - Yes when standalone, DVC80 in multi-DVC module system.
CANbus - Yes

 More Information

Power-Line, the universal single or dual coil PWM driver to stock for your open loop amplifier, electronic HP limiter and closed loop speed control applications.

FEATURES:

Inputs:

● Pulse input with a minimum impedance of 100K ohms

Enable In - Digital input to turn unit OFF or ON

Direction In - Digital input to select which coil to drive

Command In - Analog voltage input to be used with a 10K Ohm pot, accepts 0 to 5 VDC or 0 to 10 VDC or Pulse.

Outputs:

● Single (software selectable) or Dual proportional output

● Regulated 5 Vdc command pot reference voltage

Current Capabilities:

● Current ranges include maximum values of  3.0 Amps

● Optimized current ranges for two EDC valves in series or a single EDC valve

Setup and Installation:

● Interconnect is through a 12-position terminal strip that will accept up to 12 AWG wire

Diagnostic onboard LED’s:

● PWM% LED is provided for each valve coil

● Error LED flashes for any detected error

● PWR OK LED indicates correct power levels

User settings and adjustments to the regulation process are made via a computer through the Serial Communications System.

 More Information

The LCU, a single coil proportional valve driver tailored for use on EDC valves,  provides precise control of a single coil proportional valve and enables the user to add ramping and/or dither to minimize stiction and hysteresis of the valve.

FEATURES:

Control Inputs:

Accepts control inputs of -5V to +5V, 0 to +10V, 4 to 20 mA. or an external potentiometer.  (An external potentiometer and knob are supplied with every unit.)

Current Capabilities:

Current to the coil is regulated to compensate for coil resistance change, power supply voltage fluctuations and voltage drops in the wiring going to the coil.

The LCU series can drive coils with low current requirements from 31 to 250 mA.

Pulse Width Modulation (PWM):

Variable current is achieved by high frequency PWM to shift the valve spool.

High frequency PWM also provides excellent current regulation against power supply fluctuation and ripple or coil resistance change.

A PWM% indicator LED turns from red to green as the output current goes from zero to maximum.

Dither Oscillator:

An optional on-board dither generator provides dither with adjustable amplitude and factory preset frequency. (Amplitude can be left at zero should dither not be required.)

Options Available:

Weatherpack Connectors with 6-inch leads.

Single-turn waterproof potentiometer with bezel marked 0 to 100.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Operating Temperature:  -20 Celsius to +60 Celsius
