New  Product  Plug Top Driver

 

High Country Tek, Inc. Introduces the latest in a range of cost effective proportional driver products.  These Plug Top Drivers (PTD) are designed to control single valve coils, and come in 12 or 24V versions that can interface with 4-20mA or 0-10V command signals.

 

Plug Top DriverSimple analog technology, full CE compliance and HCT’s signature potting process makes these very physically robust and ideal for use in valve stack or manifold applications.

 

Each controller comes pre-wired with 3M/10 feet of 4 core color coded cable as well as a complete mounting kit allowing secure connection to any valve with a DIN 43650 interface.

New  Product  HFS-3 Fan Controller

 

These small size, simple to apply anywhere PWM output fan controllers connect directly onto the valve coil eliminating wiring miscues, come complete with all mounting hardware needed and can be used to drive 12 or 24V hydraulic valves with a DIN 43650 connector footprint.

The HFS-3 is designed to take the command signal directly from the low frequency PWM signal generated by the engine ECU / DCU the driver smoothly controls the output to the fan speed control valve ensuring correct cooling at all times.

Completely sealed to NEMA 6P / IP67 using our signature flame resistant epoxy resin process, and supplied with 10 feet of 4 core automotive grade pre-wired cable to allow easy connection and maintain integrity under extreme environmental operation.

Full compliance with CE requirements offers the user confidence in operation and makes this one range ideal for usage on equipment that will be used domestically or for export market.

Current feedback to compensate for coil heating and ‘under-lid’ manual adjustments for coil current, ramps up and down and dither are all available with a green led that tracks the proportional output level for clear visual indication of operation and also diagnostics if needed.

New  Product  HFS-4 Fan Controller

 

The High Country Tek, HFS 4 is designed to control a hydraulic fan speed based on the PWM signal input from an engine ECU / DCU.  This self contained fan system controller is designed to control single valve coils, of either 12 or 24VDC and can interface directly with the PWM signal generated by the engine ECU / DCO to give fan speed.

Simple analog technology, full CE compliance and HCT’s signature potting process makes these very physically robust and ideal for use in valve stack or manifold applications.

Each controller comes pre-wired with 4 core color coded cable on the input side and a pre-fitted Deutsch DT06-2S-P012 socket for watertight connection to the chosen valve coil.

New  Product  HGC-2 Generator Controller

 

The highly cost effective HGC-2 is designed to control a generator driven by a hydraulic motor where speed is controlled by a proportional solenoid valve, either directly at the motor or as part of the pump compensator.HGC-2 Generator Controller

 

The HGC-2 is a closed loop controller that monitors the AC line voltage from the generator output for outer loop closure and provides the necessary current to a valve coil in order to maintain the desired generator frequency.  The HGC-2 has a single LED indicator on the top of the unit to provide an overview of the operating status.

Opto3000

New Product  Opto3000 Communication

 

The new Opto3000 USB unit comes complete with a 3 foot ( 1M ) USB cable and is ready to use.   The Opto3000 may be used with various HCT GUI software programs to communicate with different HCT controllers Power-Line (PLD), HP, PR, HFS & HFS-2 & HGC.

 

This style of ‘non contacting, non electrical communications’ offers full isolation between PC and controller and is extremely rugged in physical nature. The method is not prone to connector breakage or ‘clogging’ with foreign matter from the working environment and is free from failure caused by electrolysis or common short circuits as seen with communications alternatives used by others.  The optical communications also allows high speed data transfer between the host PC / laptop and the controller for real time diagnostics and fast set-up or programming.

 

All the controller units inputs, outputs and options are available for display within the GUI software ( GUI - Graphical User Interface ) which is available for the controller unit.  The Opto3000 and controller requires that the correct interface software ( GUI ) is loaded onto the host PC and run to establish communications.  The program will automatically poll all of the com ports available ( In Windows® XP Professional and Vista Business and Ultimate versions, the software will establish and display all free communications ports ), detect and check the Opto3000 unit for correct operation, allocate the respective port for communications while at the same time setting the fastest reliable baud rate and default port settings.

New Product  HFS-J, J1939 Fan ControllerHFS-J Fan Controller

 

Hydraulic Fan System Controllers such as the HFS controls a hydraulically driven fan system.  The HFS controller accepts three thermistor and two digital inputs and provides a PWM output to control the proportional valve of the fan drive.  The HFS-2 & HFS-2Q adds the reverse or purge feature to the HFS.  And the new HFS-J has the added feature of J1939 CANbus communication.
